APRA suspends publication of the next quarterly insurance statistics

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has advised it will suspend the release of the September 2023 editions of the quarterly insurance statistical publications ordinarily released in late November 2023.

In a letter released today, APRA explained it will not release the next insurance quarterly statistics to ensure these publications can accurately reflect the significant changes made to the capital and reporting framework for insurance that came into effect on 1 July 2023.

The release of the impacted publications will resume for the December 2023 editions.

The letter to industry is available on the APRA website at: September 2023 Quarterly Insurance Statistical Publication Break.
