Annual Statement of Compliance with Commonwealth Child Safe Framework

This statement outlines and confirms APRA’s commitment to child safety and compliance with the requirements of the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework, for the 2022/23 financial year.

APRA has undertaken an annual risk assessment in relation to its activities, to identify its level of responsibility for, and contact, with children and young people.

As part of the risk assessment, APRA has considered whether any of its activities involve contact with children and whether there are any other identifiable child safety risks.

As an independent statutory authority that supervises institutions across banking, insurance and superannuation, the outcome of the risk assessment is that APRA’s operations do not involve any interaction with children and young people and there are no other identifiable child safety risks. Given no risks have been identified, it is considered that no further action or measures should be taken.
