The performance statistics contains data relating to the financial performance and position at an industry aggregate level. Statistics are also provided at an industry segment level, consisting of banks, credit unions and building societies. Data for banks is further segmented into major, other domestic, foreign subsidiary and foreign branch.

The property exposures statistics contains industry aggregate data relating to commercial property exposures, residential mortgages outstanding and new residential mortgages.
Commercial property exposures back series data is available from March 2004 only. Residential mortgage lending back series data is available from March 2019 only.

The below archived version of the quarterly ADI property exposures statistics contains discontinued data on residential mortgage lending and new housing loan approvals, from March 2008 to September 2019. The data is collected on a different basis to the new residential mortgage lending data, and cannot be used as a direct comparison.
The archived version also contains discontinued data on commercial property exposures for credit unions and building societies.
Data on banks' consolidated group impaired assets and capital, and building societies and credit unions' selected assets and liabilities, for periods prior to 2004 are available on the Reserve Bank of Australia website.
