The Quarterly Authorised Deposit-taking Institution Performance Statistics publications provide bank, credit union and building society industry aggregate statistics, comprising data on financial performance, financial position, capital adequacy, asset quality, liquidity and key financial performance ratios.
The Quarterly Authorised Deposit-taking Institution Performance Statistics publication also includes selected aggregate statistics for mutual ADIs. Banks are classified as major banks, other domestic banks, foreign subsidiary banks and branches of foreign banks.
The Quarterly Authorised Deposit-taking Institution Property Exposures Statistics publication provides bank, credit union and building society aggregate statistics on commercial property exposures, residential mortgages outstanding and new residential mortgages.
The commercial property exposures data commences from quarter end March 2004.
The residential mortgage lending data commences from quarter end March 2019. Previously published data on housing loans is available under ‘Historical Data’.

The below archived version of Quarterly ADI Property Exposures contains discontinued data on residential mortgage lending and new housing loan approvals, from quarter end March 2008 to September 2019. These data are collected on a different basis to the new residential mortgage lending data, and cannot be directly compared.
The archived version also contains discontinued series on commercial property exposures for building societies and credit unions.
Data on banks' consolidated group impaired assets and capital, and building societies and credit unions' selected assets and liabilities, for periods prior to 2004 are available on the Reserve Bank of Australia website.
