Getting Set For APRA Connect Test Environment

Dear subscriber,

The APRA Connect test environment will be available for entities to start using this month. From 17 June, entity users will be able to log in and become familiar with APRA Connect before they are required to keep entity information updated in the APRA Connect live environment, which is due to go live on 13 September 2021.

The test environment is also designed to help entities become familiar and test data submission for new data collections – which will start for superannuation and private health insurance later this year.

Getting set – pre-requisites to be completed

All entities should be nominating their initial Regulatory Reporting Administrator (RRA) through D2A so that they can access the new APRA Connect test environment. Entities should ensure users have myGovID and are authorised in RAM as a pre-requisite.

RegTechs Registration is now open

Regulatory technology businesses (RegTechs) are an important part of the regulatory reporting ecosystem. APRA is ensuring that RegTechs can have ongoing access to the APRA Connect test environment to facilitate testing and development of data collection processes, as collections are updated and replaced.  While D2A will continue to be used for most existing collections at this point, new superannuation and private health insurance collections are commencing on APRA Connect this year.

To access the APRA Connect test environment, RegTechs can now request access and will need to complete a Deed for access.

APRA Connect Guide

The APRA Connect Guide provides comprehensive information to assist users accessing, navigating and using APRA Connect. The guide should be used in conjunction with taxonomy artefacts when preparing and submitting data to APRA.

Webinar

A webinar is scheduled for 10 June 2021 to provide entities with an overview of available information and support and will include a demonstration of APRA Connect.
