MySuper Product Heatmap

APRA's MySuper Product Heatmap presents data in a more flexible and enables users to interact with the information. The Heatmap uses a graduating colour scheme to provide credible, clear and comparable insights into MySuper products across three areas: investment performance, fees and costs, and sustainability of member outcomes.

* Indicates that the product has adopted the final requirements of RG 97 'Disclosing fees and costs in PDSs and periodic statements' (September 2020). 

^ Indicates that the product has changed from lifecycle to single strategy after 30 June 2020. Investment performance data is for the previous lifecycle product and fees and costs data is for the current single strategy product.

MySuper Product Heatmap Disclaimer and Terms and Conditions of Use

APRA is an Australian Government statutory authority that supervises institutions across banking, insurance and superannuation and promotes financial system stability in Australia. As part of APRA’s role, APRA makes publications including on statistics for the financial sector.

Terms and conditions

  1. The MySuper Product Heatmap (“the Heatmap”) utilises data reported to APRA under the Financial Sector (Collection of Data) Act 2001 up to 29 October 2019. APRA has also utilised data from external sources including market index providers and product disclosure statements. While APRA endeavours to ensure the quality of the data used, APRA does not guarantee, and accepts no legal liability whatsoever arising from, or connected to, the use of the Heatmap.
  2. The listing of a MySuper product in the Heatmap, regardless of the set of ‘heat’ colours attributed to that MySuper product, in no way implies any form of APRA endorsement. You will need to exercise your own skill and care with respect to your use of the Heatmap. The Heatmap is not a substitute for independent professional advice and you should obtain any appropriate professional advice relevant to your particular circumstances.
  3. APRA will take reasonable actions to ensure the Heatmap is not compromised with bugs, trojan horses, spyware or adware etc. APRA accepts no liability or responsibility for any interference with or damage to your computer, software or data occurring as a result of accessing the Heatmap.

The Supplement to the Information Paper is a summary document listing the minor changes APRA has made to the methodology used in the 2019 Heatmap. The Information Paper has not been updated to reflect these changes. The Information Paper and Supplement should be read together for the methodology used in the 2020 Heatmap.
