Stress testing banks during COVID-19

APRA initiated a range of stress tests of the banking system, reflecting the uncertain environment associated with COVID-19. The results of the stress testing, published in the information paper today, concluded that the banking system is well positioned to withstand a very severe economic downturn, whilst retaining the capacity to support the broader economy.
