The priorities in APRA’s new Corporate Plan for 2022-2023 are based around the twin themes of “protecting the community today”, as well as ensuring the Australian financial system is “prepared for tomorrow”.
The plan is designed to respond to rapid changes in APRA’s operating environment, including geopolitical tensions, inflationary pressures and rising interest rates, and the impact of new technologies.
The survey provides insights into the alignment of climate risk practices by medium-to-large APRA-regulated institutions with the expectations set out in CPG 229. The survey responses covered 64 APRA-regulated institutions across the banking, insurance, and superannuation industries.
