APRA unveils its latest Corporate Plan designed to preserve the soundness and stability of the banking, insurance and superannuation industries.

The quarterly life insurance performance statistics publication provides industry aggregate summaries of financial performance, financial position, capital adequacy and key ratios.

Under the updates to Prudential Standard CPS 511 Remuneration, APRA-regulated entities will need to annually publish information on their remuneration frameworks, design, governance and outcomes.

The letter released today outlines APRA's plans to commence the first annual review of its data directions roadmap. It also provides additional clarity on APRA’s near-term data priorities to help entities prepare for ongoing engagement and consultation.

To support early engagement with entities and to enable the timely implementation of the FAR, APRA and ASIC have released a package of key documents for consultation including proposed Regulator rules and proposed Transitional rules.

Prudential standard CPS 230 Operational Risk Management provides a foundation for APRA-regulated entities to better manage operational risks and respond to business disruptions. The new standard will commence from 1 July 2025. 

APRA supports the recommendations made by the Review, which aim to build on APRA’s progress in improving superannuation trustees’ delivery of beneficial outcomes for superannuation members. 
APRA will act on these recommendations, including through initiatives already underway.

This scholarship program, jointly funded by APRA and the RBA, supports up to four scholarships each year to the value of $15,000 each. The purpose of the scholarship is to support research students pursuing careers in finance, economics, actuarial science, econometrics, statistics, or related disciplines.

Early findings from an expansive APRA study on cyber resilience in financial services show there is a need to raise the bar. With the risk cyberattacks pose to institutions and the Australian community, APRA is rigorously targeting areas of non-compliance.
