APRA releases its Private Health Insurance Annual Coverage Survey

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has released its Private Health Insurance Annual Coverage Survey for 2021.

The survey provides a snapshot of the number of people, by age, gender and state, with hospital treatment cover at December each year. This survey is available on the APRA website at: Private health insurance annual coverage survey.

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is the prudential regulator of the financial services industry. It oversees banks, mutuals, general insurance and reinsurance companies, life insurance, private health insurers, friendly societies, and most members of the superannuation industry.
