APRA Connect authentication using myGovID

APRA has temporarily suspended the project to replace APRA’s Direct to APRA (D2A) data collection solution with APRA Connect in response to the COVID-19 situation. APRA will advise when the project recommences.

APRA Connect will be integrated with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) myGovID and Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) authentication solution.

All users will need to use myGovID to establish their digital identity and be authorised by their organisation to access APRA services on its behalf using RAM.

APRA services will be configured to work with both identity strengths for myGovID i.e. Standard and Basic. Basic identity strength does not require Australian identity documents. Entities are responsible for granting authorisation to users through RAM and therefore responsible for ensuring that any authorised user meets the entity's own governance and security requirements.

Please refer to ATO published materials to find out more about myGovID, RAM and machine credentials.
