Classification of superannuation entities

APRA reviewed the classification of superannuation entities in 2005. The following document describes the functional descriptions of corporate, industry, public sector, retail and small funds and provides examples of each type. The results of a recent APRA review of superannuation fund types for the largest entities and the impact on previously published APRA data are also summarised.
