The links below should only be used if you are an external administrator, accountant or other service provider lodging returns on behalf of the trustee of a superannuation entity. If you are a trustee of a superannuation fund, click here.
Note: If you are using versions: 2.4a, 2.4, 2.3 or 2.2 of D2A you will need to contact the APRA Call Centre on 1300 13 10 60.
D2A or Direct to APRA, is a flexible, secure and user-friendly electronic data submission system. D2A was introduced in 2001 and has replaced six industry-specific legacy systems. D2A enables regulated and registered financial entities to lodge their statutory returns with APRA.
Data can be manually entered or imported directly into D2A from the reporting institutions' own information systems. D2A submits returns by passing information in an encrypted form to APRA using a direct internet connection. Institutions without access to the internet, can save the return to a floppy disk and post this to APRA.
If you are a service provider that lodges returns on behalf of the trustee of a superannuation entity using D2A, you will already have received a CD-ROM containing all the software and information specific to your fund/s.
The CD has been tailored to your specific organisation, and based on APRA records, contains returns for the fund(s) for which you are responsible.
If you believe APRA’s records are incorrect, contact APRA in writing (Superannuation Statistics, APRA, GPO Box 9836, Sydney 2001) or by facsimile (02 9210 3021) specifying the correct details. Please use your organisation’s letterhead, and include the ABNs of the superannuation entities and contact details for correspondence. APRA will amend its database records accordingly and contact you after this has been done. Once APRA’s database has been amended, you will be able to refresh your forms in D2A. This involves downloading new forms from APRA (see Downloading new forms in the D2A Help Guide).
All the information you require to complete and submit returns to APRA can be found in the D2A Help Guide.
If, after reading the instructions, you are unable to overcome any problems you encounter, please contact our APRA Call Centre on 1300 13 10 60. To ensure that the Call Centre can assist you efficiently, please ensure that you have read the relevant sections of the manual.
