ADI Quarterly Performance Statistics

These quarterly publications provide bank, credit union and building society aggregate statistics, comprising data on financial performance, financial position and key financial performance ratios. Banks are classified as major banks, other domestic banks, foreign subsidiary banks and branches of foreign banks in Bank Performance publication.

Source of data

Data for the publications are sourced from returns submitted by APRA-regulated ADIs under the Financial Sector (Collection of Data) Act 2001. Consolidated returns are the primary source of information. They provide the most consistent capture of data items across all the sectors. If completion of a consolidated return is not applicable to an institution, their domestic or licensed returns are used.
