Yes, all reporting entities must download, and install or upgrade D2A to version 5.3 or later to complete their submission requirements.
You will no longer be able to use versions of D2A prior to 5.3 to connect to APRA.
You will receive an error message if you attempt to use these versions to perform any task that requires a connection to the APRA server (i.e. to download forms, submit data etc.).
No, D2A runs only on Windows platforms.
D2A 5.3.1 may work with Windows XP or Vista however this is currently unsupported by APRA and unfortunately we are unable to provide support for this platform. Please refer to System Requirements.

A file containing the necessary installation files, must be downloaded from the APRA website. You may need to contact your IT department if this file exceeds the download limit imposed by your workplace.
Do I need to enter any Proxy Server details?
If a proxy server is used to connect to the internet, the proxy server details must be entered into D2A to allow your installation to communicate with APRA. To enter these details, navigate to the Tools menu, then Options.
Yes, D2A should be installed on all computers that will be used to complete APRA forms.

New forms must be downloaded when you first install the D2A software and then up to 8 weeks before your next return is due.
APRA may also send requests to download new forms if forms or your institution’s status changes.
Why does D2A time out with "Operation Failed"?
It is likely that you may need to enter Proxy Server details as described above.

Yes forms can be printed at anytime, and some forms can be printed to PDF.
Ensure you are submitting a whole return, rather than a single form. Only complete returns can be submitted to APRA in D2A.
When your data is accepted without errors, you will receive a confirmation message on the screen with a receipt number, and a confirmation email will be sent to you.
Yes, you can re-submit a return by making the required changes and submitting as usual.
