Charles Littrell is the Executive General Manager of Policy, Statistics and International at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). Prior to joining APRA in 2002, Charles spent 20 years in the banking industry, mainly at Westpac. While at Westpac, Charles was at various times responsible for group strategy, the Australian retail deposits business, and the group’s capital management.
Charles is a member of the Basel Committee for Bank Supervision’s Policy Development Group, and a member of the Australian Council of Financial Regulators.
Charles’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from Yale University, and a Master of Economics (First Class Honours) from the University of Sydney. Charles has also completed the Executive Fellows program at the Australia and New Zealand School of Government.
